Take  I-40 E/ I-440E /US-64E

Take exit  306  to merge onto US-70 E toward Smithfield/Goldsboro for 20.2 miles

Take the ramp on the left onto US-70-BYP S / US highway 70 Bypass E

Continue to follow US highway 70 Bypass E for 2.9 miles

Slight left at US-70 E  for 18.4 miles

Exit onto Dr Martin Luther King Jr Expy/ US-117-BYP S/ US-13 S

Continue to follow US-117-BYP S/US-13 S   for 3.5 miles

Turn left at Arrington Bridge Rd/NC-581 for 4 miles

Continue to follow NC-581 SE for .9 mile

And turn left onto the gravel road just before the bridge over the Neuse River.
